Dr. R. S. Dubey is an esteemed academician currently affiliated with the Department of Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence at SR University, situated in Warangal, Telangana State (India). His illustrious educational journey commenced with a Bachelor's degree in B.Sc. (Electronics) from Devi Ahilya University, Indore (M.P.), followed by an M.Sc. (Electronics) from Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (M.S.). He further advanced his studies with a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University, Indore (M.P.), an M.Tech. in VLSI from Jawaharlal Technological University-Kakinada (A.P.), and a Ph.D. in Electronics from Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University in 2009.
Dr. Dubey has amassed over 19 years of extensive experience in teaching and research, holding numerous prestigious academic and research positions. He began his career as an ad-hoc lecturer at Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (Jalgaon). His career trajectory then saw him serving as a Scientist B and Officer In-charge for the International Council of Quality Education and Research in New Delhi. He later joined Swarnandhra College of Engineering and Technology in Narsapur, Andhra Pradesh, India, as an Associate Professor in the ECE department. Over a tenure of approximately 7 years, he rose to the position of Professor in March 2015. During his time at Swarnandhra, he also held key administrative roles such as Head of the Department of Nanotechnology, Research Coordinator, and subsequently Dean (R&D), contributing significantly to the advancement of research and development.
One of Dr. Dubey's notable achievements at Swarnandhra was the establishment of a robust research environment. He founded the 'Nanotechnology Research Center,' initially known as the 'Advanced Research Laboratory for Nanomaterials and Devices,' in 2009. This center features a class 10000 cleanroom facility and state-of-the-art instruments. Dr. Dubey successfully managed and completed five extramural research projects sponsored by agencies like IACQER, DRDO, DST, UGC-Major, and UGC-DAE CSR, amounting to a total of 1.38 Crore INR. Additionally, he has a recently sanctioned project under the AICTE RPS scheme and has had his DST-FIST proposal shortlisted for its final presentation, valued at 1.5 Crore INR. His research endeavors have led to collaborations with various esteemed universities and R&D laboratories.
Furthering his contributions to academia, Dr. Dubey initiated a new postgraduate course, M.Tech. in Nanotechnology, prior to the induction of the parent university (JNTU-Kakinada) in 2011. His efforts have been recognized with numerous awards and accolades, including the Young Teacher's Award, the Indian Science Academy Visiting Fellowship Award, best paper awards at international conferences, the INSA Collaborative Research Award, and the Elsevier Reviewers Award. During his Ph.D., he was also honored with a Senior Research Fellowship sponsored by the DRDO.
Dr. Dubey has a prolific output of research publications, with 239 to his credit, including 122 in refereed journals, 103 in conference proceedings, and 12 book chapters published by national and international publishers. He holds two patents, one Indian and one German, with another published patent under examination and five more under drafting. He has organized various scientific events and served as invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences, workshops, faculty development programs, workshops, and seminars
Dr. Dubey has guided five Ph.D. scholars and seve are pursuing their Ph.D. works, along with he has supervised several UG and PG theses. He has been actively involved in organizing national and international conferences, FDPs, and seminars.
Dr. Dubey's research interests are diverse and include artificial intelligence and machine learning, microstrip patch antennas, thin film depositions for VLSI applications, synthesis of nanomaterials for energy applications, and modeling/simulation of photonic devices.
Dr. Dubey actively contributes to the academic community by serving as a reviewer for several journals published by reputed publishers. Additionally, he has taken on various administrative roles, including serving as a member of the Board of Studies, National Board of Accreditation, National Assessment and Accreditation Council, and Autonomous committees, demonstrating his commitment to academic governance and quality assurance in higher education. He is also a member of several professional bodies.
Among his many accolades, Dr. Dubey has been recognized as one of the world's top 2% scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier, a prestigious acknowledgment of his significant contributions to his field of expertise. This recognition underscores the profound impact of Dr. Dubey's work and his dedication to advancing knowledge in electronics and nanotechnology.
