About
GANZI Suresh, graduated in Mechanical Engineering, and obtained his Doctoral degree from an Indian university for his work on characterization of biomaterials processed with metal AM. During his tenure as a research fellow, he has published more than 10 peer-reviewed articles including two book chapters. In addition, he has secured a project grant from DST-Govt. of India worth INR 7.2M.
He started his career as a researcher at GE-Global Research Centre-Bengaluru, India to develop new biomaterials and additive manufacturing processes suitable to make medical components eg., prosthetics. Later, he moved to Italy upon accepting post-doctoral research position at The Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT). He worked in bio-inspired soft robotics lab with cross-functional team (electronics, software, biology and chemistry) to ensure successful integration of soft robot systems. Currently he is working as a R&D Engineer at INAIL-Centro Prostesi carrying research on Osseo-integrated implants in the amputations of fingers and at the transfemoral level to help the patients with suitable prosthetics.
