About

S.M. Masum Ahmed received his Erasmus Mundus Joint MSc in Smart Cities and Communities (SMACCs) at the Heriot-Watt University (HWU), Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom (UK) in 2021. Moreover, he received his second MSc in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction at the University of Mons (UMONS), Mons, Belgium. Currently, he engaged with ABCD Laboratory, Bangladesh as Co-Head of the Energy and Technology Research Division. He had completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with an honor "Magna Cum Laude" from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). Furthermore, this year (2021), he received several scientific manuscripts reviewing invitations from Renewable Energy (Elsevier) and the Journal of Renewable Energy (Hindawi). Besides, he received several invitations from conferences like ComPE-2021, ComPE-2020, and ENERGYCon-2020 [Tunisia] to join as a Program Committee, Session Chair, and Review Committee member. Apart from this, he achieved 1st prize in the Inter-University Idea Contest at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh during his bachelor period. However, his research interests are including but are not limited to Renewable Energy (CSP), Smart Cities, Smart Buildings, Control Strategies, and Smart grid.
