About
As the Lead Profiling Technical Center Leader at Aphea.Bio, I specialize in biocontrol (BI, BH, BF) and biostimulant production, focusing on formulation and field trials for Phase II projects. I have a strong background in optimizing microbial processes for bioactive compound production to drive innovation in sustainable agriculture and pharmaceutical.
During my postdoctoral research at the University of Zurich Switzerland, I honed my expertise in cyanobacteria fermentation, isolating antiviral peptides and cyanotoxins, and developing a comprehensive cyanobacterial strain library for novel compound discovery.
I bring a versatile skill set in microbial culturing, fermentation technologies, AKTA, HPLC, MPLC, UHPLC-MS/MS, SDS-PAGE, NMR and biological assays. These competencies are highly applicable to the pharmaceutical, agricultural, environmental and food sectors, supporting advancements in sustainable and biotechnological solutions.
My Ph.D. studies at the Chinese Academy of Sciences China, refined my expertise in applied microbiology and natural product chemistry. Throughout this period, I successfully optimized the fermentation process for Antarctic and Arctic fungi, resulting in high-yield biomolecule production. Significantly, I obtained patents for this achievement. With a portfolio featuring over 100 isolated biomolecules, I have contributed to multiple publications highlighting my research excellence and innovation.
During my master's role, I made substantial contributions to the pharmaceutical industry as a microbiologist (QC specialist). My responsibilities encompassed conducting biochemical and biological tests, which included performing endotoxin analysis, sterility testing, and bioburden tests on pharmaceutical products.
I am recognized as a dedicated and diligent interdisciplinary researcher who takes ownership of challenges, maintains high standards, and contributes significantly to achieving project objectives. As a team-oriented collaborator, I bring positivity, support, and a creative mindset to group projects. My passion lies in overcoming technical challenges in the fields of pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and food science. Possessing excellent communication and time management skills, I am committed to continuous learning and technological advancements to contribute to the progress of science and society.
