About

I am Dr. Sejal Rathod, Professor and Head of the Department of Microbiology at KC College, Mumbai.

With a strong commitment to microbiology education, research and academic leadership, I am passionate about nurturing scientific curiosity, developing research-oriented learning and creating opportunities for students to engage with emerging developments in life sciences.

My academic interests include antimicrobial resistance, biofilm development, clinical microbiology, microbial pathogenesis and emerging therapeutic strategies, including phage-based approaches. I am also interested in advances in proteomics, scientific instrumentation and the application of modern technologies in microbiology and diagnostics.

As an academic leader, I focus on curriculum enrichment, faculty development, student mentorship, scientific workshops and collaborations that connect classroom learning with contemporary research.

I welcome opportunities for academic collaborations, scientific discussions, research initiatives, invited lectures and professional networking in microbiology and related life-science disciplines.
