Education

Dr. Ashutosh Yadav holds a PhD in Management (Finance) from BML Munjal University (NIRF 77) , where his doctoral research examined the regulatory impacts on Indian commodity derivatives markets. His doctoral work is grounded in rigorous empirical analysis and applies advanced econometric models and theories from market microstructure. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Abdul Kalam Technical University. In addition to his formal education, Dr. Yadav is pursuing certifications in Financial Modelling and Valuation from the NSE Academy and has completed the course Practical Time Series Analysis from Coursera, further strengthening his technical and analytical expertise.

Professional Experience

Dr. Yadav has worked as an Assistant Professor at Manipal University Jaipur, following a distinguished tenure as a Doctoral Fellow at BML Munjal University and earlier as an Assistant Professor at RNB Global University. Throughout his academic journey, he has actively contributed to both classroom teaching and academic administration, including the coordination of Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and international conferences such as ICMS and EIS at BML Munjal University.

He has taught a diverse range of MBA-level and undergraduate courses, including Security Analysis & Portfolio Management, Financial Markets, Banking Operations, and Financial Management. Dr. Yadav’s methodological strengths include time-series econometrics (GARCH family models, ARMA, AMIM, VAR, VECM) and price discovery techniques such as the Garbade–Silber and Roll Models. He is highly proficient in R, SPSS, STATA, Power BI, and qualitative research tools such as NVIVO and VOSviewer.

Dr. Yadav’s research interests lie at the intersection of commodity derivatives, liquidity and volatility analysis, price discovery mechanisms, hedging efficiency, and the role of policy interventions in shaping emerging market dynamics. He has presented his research at leading national and international academic forums, including INDAM (2022), SMF (IRMA Anand), IFAC (IIM Jammu), and RSEP (Paris), with his work often commended for its methodological rigour and policy relevance.

Awards & Research

In recognition of his academic achievements, Dr. Yadav has qualified the University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) in Management three times (2017–2018) and successfully cleared the UPSC CDS examinations (2013 I & II) ; Eligible and Qualified under the National Career Service scheme.

Dr. Yadav continues to advance an active research agenda, with ongoing projects examining the impact of Climate Policy Uncertainty (CPU) on the stock markets of India and China, as well as the volatility effects of the US–China trade war on the Indian NSE using global and US-specific economic policy uncertainty indices. His work reflects a strong commitment to both rigorous scholarship and impactful pedagogy, particularly in the domains of financial regulation, market efficiency, and policy evaluation in emerging economies.
