Dr. Arun Kumar Jha holds an M.B.B.S. & M.D. (Medical Microbiology) degree from Delhi University, India. He has over 14 years of work experience in India, Saudi Arabia & UAE. He is DoH licensed “Consultant Medical Microbiology Physician”. Presently he is employed with National Reference Laboratory, Abu Dhabi based at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, Abu Dhabi.
He is also holding several key positions as:
• Chairperson: Infection Control Committee at Danat Al Emarat Hospital
• Vice-Chair: Research & Ethics Board (Moorefields & HealthPlus Medical Centres)
• Program Director: Lab teaching & Training Program at Danat Al Emarat
• Member of Antibiotic Stewardship Committee of Danat Al Emarat & HealthPlus medical centres
• Adjunct Professor: at Sheikh Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi
• Chairperson of Cultural & Social Committee of Emirates society of Clinical Microbiology (ESCM)
• Chairperson of Organizing Committee of 4th Annual Conference of ESCM
Dr. Jha has presented several scientific papers in National & International conferences. He is:
• An invited guest speaker and has delivered talks in international conferences.
• He has published 13 papers in International journals of repute
• As reviewer; he has reviewed many scientific papers for international medical journals of high impact factors and
• He is Editorial Board member as well to two international journals.
His areas of interest are Bacteriology, Parasitology, Antibiotic Stewardship and Hospital Infection Control.
