About

Ankur Singh graduated in dental surgery from India and completed his MSc in Dental Public Health with distinction from University College London, UK. His Master's dissertation focused on social inequalities in clustering of oral health behaviours among British adults. He has previously worked as a Research Associate with the Department of Health Promotion and Tobacco Control at Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and has contributed extensively to various projects during his tenure. He joined Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health, The University of Adelaide in 2014 as a PhD student and his project aims to explore the theoretical explanations and empirical evidence for the association between social inequalities and population oral health outcomes. He has research interests in oral health inequalities, societal determinants of population oral health, socio-epidemiological theories, oral health promotion, tobacco control and evidence synthesis.
