About

Dr. Padmesh Medesety is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering with expertise in molecular simulations, nanomaterials, and gas separation processes. He completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, where his research focused on the selective molecular capture of gaseous and liquid mixtures using carbon-based nanostructures through advanced molecular dynamics simulations.

Prior to his doctoral studies, he served as a Scientist/Engineer at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR), ISRO, where he was involved in quality assurance and quality control of solid propellant processing systems. This experience provided him with strong industrial and applied research exposure in high-reliability engineering environments.

Dr. Medesety holds an M.Tech. in Computer-Aided Chemical Engineering from Andhra University and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering with first-class distinction from GMR Institute of Technology. He has qualified the GATE examination with notable ranks and has demonstrated consistent academic excellence throughout his career.

His research contributions include publications in reputed international journals such as Chemical Physics (Elsevier) and Molecular Simulation (Taylor & Francis). His work primarily focuses on carbon dioxide capture, adsorption and separation processes, nanostructured materials, and the integration of computational and data-driven approaches in chemical engineering.

In addition to journal publications, Dr. Medesety has an active innovation portfolio with multiple patents, design registrations, and authored books and book chapters spanning chemical engineering, environmental sustainability, and emerging interdisciplinary domains. His current research interests extend to AI-assisted process modeling, sustainable materials, and advanced separation technologies respectively.
