Professor of Epidemiological Psychiatry at King’s College London, and co-director of the Centre for Global Mental Health. His research focuses on the salience of mental disorders to mainstream health and social policy in low and middle income countries. He co-edited the Lancet Series on Global Mental Health (2007), and helped found the Movement for Global Mental Health (2008). He leads the 10/66 Dementia Research Group’s work on ageing, and chronic disease in Latin America, India and China.
