About
I joined the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at NIT Warangal (India) as an Assistant Professor in Aug 2025. Apart from that I am also serving as a visiting scientist to University of Seoul, as a Brain Pool Fellow.
I obtained my Ph.D. and M.Tech. degrees in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and prior to that I completed my bachelor’s degree in the same domain from MNIT Jaipur (India).
My research spans over surface coatings, corrosion, electrochemical characterization, functionally gradient materials, and hydrogen embrittlement, integrating experimental and computational approaches such as DFT. My work includes pioneering cyanide-free electroplating baths for precious metals, advanced corrosion-resistant coatings, and coatings for bio-material applications.
I have authored several research publications in reputed international peer reviewed journals, holds two patents, and has presented at leading national and international conferences.
I am is also serving as reviewer to various journals. I am also serving as life member of professional societies including Indian Institute of Metals, Electron Microscopy Society of India, Electrochemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, American Chemical Society, and the Corrosion Institute UK
