About
I am a dedicated public health researcher currently pursuing Postdoc at the University of Bern as a recipient of the Swiss Government Excellence Postdoctoral Scholarship, where I aims to utilize data from the IIT Guwahati-led rabies elimination project to develop a One Health application and estimate the economic burden of rabies in India.
I work as a Senior Consultant at CreIndia Foundation and in the past I served as a Senior Research Officer at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, focusing on the capacity building of healthcare professionals. Previously to that, I worked as a Project Manager at the School of Health Sciences and Technology, IIT Guwahati, leading efforts on the One Health project to eradicate dog-mediated rabies.
My expertise includes data analysis, scholarly article publication, and grant writing, with active involvement in surveys, workshops, and the enumeration of free-roaming dogs in rabies-endemic regions.
I hold a Ph.D. in Community Medicine and has been recognized internationally, including at the CUGH Conference in New York. I have contributed as a consultant for ICAM on economic burden studies of dog population management and also as a WHO SEARO consultant, analyzing COVID-19 data and generating weekly reports. With proficiency in R, STATA, and SPSS, I specialise in scoping and systematic reviews, as well as quantitative research.
I am also actively involved in organizing and facilitating various capacity-building workshops and have participated in several national and international conferences. I have been invited to speak on various platforms on topics such as systematic reviews, One Health, and zoonotic diseases.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I am a passionate writer, traveller, and artist. I serve as a peer reviewer for reputed journals, including BMC Public Health, PLOS Global Public Health, International Journal for Equity in Health, and the Journal of Social and Economic Development, blending scientific rigor with advocacy to drive meaningful impact in public health.
