About
I am currently serving as a Post-Doctoral Neuroscientist at the Institute of Brain Science, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. My research here focuses on exploring the basal mechanism of Parkinson's disease pathogenesis: a translational approach from primary neuronal culture to rodents and to human samples.
In my recent postdoctoral research at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) in Delhi, I worked primarily on developing a novel shockwave-based preclinical model of TBI, post-traumatic epilepsy model, neurodegeneration, and mitigation. Additionally, I have also studied the combined effect of TBI and radiation exposure to the brain. During my Doctorate, I investigated the functional and structural changes, circulatory biomarkers for severity grading, and potential mitigating strategies following neurotrauma at different severities. I utilised multiple traumatic brain injury (TBI) models, including Fluid Percussion Injury (FPI), Controlled Cortical Impact (CCI), and shockwave exposure to mimic the clinical TBI within the laboratory.
