About

Dr. Perrotta leads the Sport Science Laboratory, housed within the Centre for Human Performance and Health (CHPH). His focus is on sport science and sport medicine and its direct application to enhancing health and sport performance. Students conduct applied research within the daily training environment of the Windsor Lancer varsity programs. Dr. Perrotta's team concentrates on examining the dose-response to exercise using wearable technology to quantify exercise stress, and to examine the response in biological function and athletic performance. As a practitioner, Dr. Perrotta is a clinical exercise physiologist (CEP), a certified strength conditioning specialist (CSCS) and holds a National ‘C’ Coaching license (USSF). He has held sport science positions for both Canadian National Sporting Organizations and varsity athletic programs.
