About
Ph.D. Research Scholar specializing in the alloy design and development of Advanced High Strength Steels. Prior to my doctoral studies, I gained invaluable industry experience as an operations in-charge of the Blast Furnace at one of India's largest steel manufacturers, Steel Authority of India Ltd. This hands-on role deepened my understanding of steel production processes and operational excellence. Building upon this foundation, I currently leverage my expertise in electron microscopy, particularly Electron Backscatter Diffraction, Transmission Kikuchi Diffraction, along with in-situ synchrotron studies to explore the microstructural properties of materials. In my Ph.D. research, I employ computational thermodynamics through the CALPHAD approach to systematically design and model new and improved medium-Mn steels using thermodynamic and kinetic modeling of the thermo-mechanical processes. Through a combination of practical experience and cutting-edge research, I contribute to advancing alloy development and processing techniques, and I am dedicated to driving innovation in the steel industry.
