About

I am currently working as an Associate Professor of English in SRM University Andhra Pradesh. I earned my Doctoral Degree from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Patna on 15th April 2019 under the supervision of Dr. Priyanka Tripathi, Associate Professor of English and Head. Prior to that, I pursued MPhil (67.2% in 2016), B. Ed. (70.7% in 2013), M.A. in English (61.125% in 2012) respectively from The University of Burdwan, India. Apart from three book chapters in edited volumes, Tintin in Tibet by Herge: A Critical Companion (2021), The Routledge Handbook of Translation and Activism (2020), and Performativity, Cultural Construction, and the Graphic Narrative (Routledge Advances in Comics Studies, UK) (2019), I have published with reputed journals, Journal of Visual Communication in Medicine (Taylor & Francis, Q1), Studies in Comics (Q2), Journal of International Women's Studies, Journal of Gender Studies (Taylor & Francis, Q1), Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics (Taylor & Francis, Q1), The Translator (Taylor & Francis Q1), IUP Journal of English Studies (Q3), Atlantic Literary Review, to name a few. I have also reviewed two books for reputed journals. I serve as an Editorial Board Member of Journal of International Women's Studies (Q3). Currently, I have been added in reviewers' board in Journal of Gender Studies and I have also reviewed manuscripts for Feminist Media Studies (Taylor & Francis), Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics (Taylor & Francis), Journal of Human Trafficking (Taylor & Francis), Journal of International Women's Studies, and Feminist Encounters: A Journal of Critical Studies in Culture and Politics. Recently, I (along with Dr. Priyanka Tripathi) have received fund from Postcolonial Studies Association, UK for organizing an International Conference on Postcolonial Studies in Comics and Graphic Narratives from South Asia at IIT Patna (25th – 26th September 2021).
