About
Dr. Burhan Hamid, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at the Centre of Research for Development (CORD) and P.G. Programme in Microbiology, University of Kashmir, J&K, India since 2019. He has 14 years of teaching and research experience. He has worked as a researcher in Regional Research Station (RRS) for biofertilizers at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), India. His areas of interest in teaching and research are environmental microbiology, psychrophiles, psychrozymes, bioremediation, agricultural microbiology, food and industrial microbiology. Currently, he is also serving as a reviewer and member of the editorial board of different journals and has published more than 70 research papers, review papers, and book chapters in peer-reviewed high-impact journals. He has published his work with internationally reputed publishers such as Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, MDPI, and Taylor & Francis. Dr. Hamid is working as expert for evaluation of different research projects with National Science Centre (NCN) Poland. He has also worked as a Senior Microbiologist in an ISO/IEC-17025 accredited laboratory at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, India. He is also supervising M.Sc. Microbiology students in their dissertations and project works.
