About

I am a cancer genomics researcher with expertise in both computational and experimental approaches to understanding tumor biology. I recently completed my Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, where my research focused on the integrative multi-omic characterization of prostate cancer in Indian patient cohorts. My work involved whole-exome and whole-transcriptome sequencing, somatic and germline mutation analysis, copy-number alterations, mutational signatures, gene fusions, differential gene expression analysis, and molecular subtyping.

I integrate genomic and transcriptomic data with functional validation in cell-line and animal models to investigate tumor heterogeneity, clonal mutations, and clinically relevant molecular alterations. I have also contributed to collaborative studies involving functional genomics, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, and candidate-gene characterization.

My research interests include understanding how genomic instability reshapes transcriptional programmes, the tumor immune microenvironment and cell states, drives clonal evolution, and contributes to cancer progression and treatment resistance. My long-term goal is to become an independent researcher working at the interface of computational genomics, functional biology, and precision oncology, with a focus on understanding cancer evolution, identifying actionable vulnerabilities, and improving cancer diagnosis and treatment.
