About
I am currently Associate Professor at Department of Zoology, University of Calcutta. I am the chair of Trisomy 21 Research Society (Netherlands), Indian Chapter and also Chair of Cytogenetics-Genomics and Down syndrome research Unit, University of Calcutta. My diverse research interest includes causes and consequences of Trisomy 21 genetic conditions in human and their clinical management, genetic underpinning of male infertility, evolutionary trajectory of immune-gene expression in Drosophila model and therapeutic trial of Indian indigenous products against neurodegeneration related to Down syndrome in Drosophila model. I also extend my work to cater society by giving health care service and awareness for Down syndrome.
