About
I, Dr. Ambedkar Gandamalla, am an innovative materials chemist with over 9 years of interdisciplinary experience in advanced polymer composites, solid-state electrolytes, and photocatalytic nanomaterials. Currently a project scientist at the School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad (since November 2024), I lead an industry-funded R&D project with HBL Power Systems Ltd. on scalable polymer-ceramic composite separators for high-performance Li-ion batteries. In this role, I have demonstrated strong leadership skills and the ability to manage complex research projects. My expertise encompasses membrane fabrication (PVDF/LLZO/LiTFSI, PEO-based), electrochemical optimization (achieving ionic conductivity of up to 10⁻⁴ S/cm), and advanced characterization techniques (EIS, FESEM, UTM, PXRD, TGA).
With diverse international experience, I have worked as a GKS Postdoctoral Fellow at Inje University, South Korea (September 2023–August 2024), where I developed temperature-responsive polymer hydrogels and patterned films for drug delivery and sensing applications. My Ph.D. from NIT Warangal (2016–2021) focused on g-C₃N₄-based metal oxide nanocomposites for visible-light photocatalysis, resulting in high-impact publications in Chemosphere (IF 8.1) and Journal of Colloid and Interface Science (IF 9.7).
With 12 peer-reviewed publications (h-index: 7, citations: 300+), a book chapter, and multiple best presentation awards, including Best Oral Presentation at InnoChem-25 (2025), I bridge academic rigor with industrial scalability. Skilled in pilot-scale membrane casting, glovebox operations, IP-aware research and development, and cross-functional collaboration, I am deeply passionate about sustainable energy and green chemistry and am open to global opportunities in the USA, EU, Japan, and South Korea.
