About

I am Dr. Abdullah, a tenured associate professor at the Institute of Computer Sciences and Information Technology, The University of Agriculture, Peshawar, Pakistan. I am a dedicated researcher with a PhD in Information Technology from the University Tun Hussain Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and a master's in computer science from the University of Science and Technology Bannu, Pakistan. Currently serving as an associate professor at the Faculty of Management and Computer Sciences, Agriculture University, Peshawar, I bring over 10 years of experience in education and research.
My research interests span a wide spectrum of topics, including data mining, machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, classification, clustering, web mining, swarm intelligence optimization, hybrid intelligent systems, analysis of algorithms, optimization techniques, and various foundational areas such as discrete structures, linear algebra, data structures, statistics, structural programming, and prediction.
During my PhD at UTHM, I specialized in information technology, focusing on the development of improved cuckoo search-based neural network learning algorithms for data classification. This work has been acknowledged with several awards, including the Best Paper Award in ICT Category at the International Conference on Man-Machine Systems (ICoMMS) in 2015 and the 3rd Best Paper in ICT Category at the Malaysian Universities Conference on Engineering and Technology (MUCET) in the same year. Throughout my academic journey, I have actively participated in conferences, seminars, and workshops, presenting papers and contributing to discussions on topics such as wavelet neural network learning weights, task scheduling in parallel computational alignment, DNA sequence classification, and various aspects of artificial intelligence. My commitment to academia is reflected in my roles as an Assistant Professor at various institutions, including Preston University, Kohat, and the Institute of Business and Management Science (IBMS). In these positions, I have been involved in teaching at PhD, master's, and undergraduate levels, preparing concept notes and project proposals, participating in accreditation processes, and supervising both undergraduate and graduate students. My research contributions extend beyond academia, as evident in my publications in reputable journals such as Fractals, Computational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine, Computers, Materials & Continua, and Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience, Bioengineering, and more. I have also been recognized with medals and awards for my research endeavors, showcasing my dedication to advancing knowledge and solving real-world problems. Looking ahead, I am eager to continue my research journey, contributing to the field of artificial intelligence and empowering the next generation through education and mentorship. I am particularly interested in exploring innovative approaches to machine learning, optimization, and data analysis, with a focus on practical applications that can positively impact various domains.
