Currently, Professor of Marketing at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry (Govt. of India) since Nov 2007, he has more than a decade’s industry experience in sales and marketing with organizations like Eureka Forbes, DHL, NIS Sparta. He is an Advisory Board Member of some growth-seeking business organizations.
Dr. Sharma is a regular speaker at industry associations such as the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), Ahmedabad Management Association, Vidarbha Industries Association, Department of MSMEs, Export Promotion Councils. Dr. Sharma has facilitated several capacity-building programs on international marketing and exporting in several African countries like Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Angola, and others as part of GOI’s Africa initiative.
Apart from marketing, training in interpersonal skills is also his forte. He has a long-term association with renowned organizations like National Dairy Development Board, Ambuja Cements, some Pharma companies for customized soft skills training. He has designed and delivered training to the employment and factories and boilers directorates under the Department of Labor, Government of West Bengal.
Dr. Sharma regularly writes in leading business dailies like the Economic Times Brand Equity, publishes in peer-reviewed journals, and presents his research in national and international conferences.
