About
I work as a Senior Scientist at Novelis, Molten Metal Processing Group, Spokane, USA, from October 2017. Prior to that, I was a Research Fellow in Liquid Metal Engineering, in the Department of Materials, University of Oxford, UK, since April 2011. Before that, I worked in the Brunel University London (BCAST) as Research Fellow. I received my PhD degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), India, and was the recipient of best PhD thesis of the year 2009 award. I work in the field of aluminium alloys, composites, and tribology. I have published more than 35 international scientific articles which are highly cited. I have also received the excellent reviewer of top 20 award of the year 2008 from metallurgical and materials transaction A. I do research in recycling, solidification processing, dowstream processing, surface engineering and degradation, characterisation, and microstructrue-property correlation of metals and metallic glasses.
