Dr. Maajid Mohi-Ud-Din Malik is an accomplished radiography professional and academic leader currently serving as Academic Head, Associate Professor, and Head of Department at Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Allied Health Sciences, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune. He also holds key administrative roles as Ph.D. Coordinator and Member Secretary of both the Institutional Ethics Sub-Committee and Institutional Research Advisory Committee.
Dr. Malik earned his Ph.D. in Radiology and Imaging Technology from Singhania University (2020-2023), following his M.Sc. in Radiation Imaging Technology from NIMS University (2017-2019) and B.Sc. in Medical Imaging Technology from Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. His doctoral research focused on estimating dose length products using multi-slice computed tomography across different body regions, contributing valuable insights to radiation safety protocols in medical imaging.
A prolific scholar and author, Dr. Malik has authored over 20 scholarly books covering diverse topics in medical imaging, including CT protocols, MRI physics, radiography procedures, and antimicrobial resistance. His publications appear in numerous peer-reviewed journals, with more than 47 research papers addressing critical areas such as pediatric imaging, artificial intelligence in radiology, diagnostic reference levels, and patient experience during imaging procedures. His work is indexed in prestigious databases including Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed, with his research cited internationally.
Beyond his impressive publication record, Dr. Malik actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for multiple international journals and serves on editorial boards. He has received recognition for his contributions, including the Kashmir's Most Influential Author Award (2022) and the International Achievers Award (2024). As a life member of the Indian Society of Radiological Technologists and Editor-in-Chief of RadiologyHub.in, Dr. Malik remains committed to advancing radiography education, fostering innovative teaching methodologies, and cultivating the next generation of imaging professionals while contributing to institutional growth through cutting-edge research and knowledge dissemination.
