About
Dr. Deka earned Ph.D from IIT, Guwahati in the year 2004. He served as Assistant Professor in Arbaminch University, Ethiopia during 2005-2008. Currently he is the faculty at Applied Mechanics and Hydraulics department of NITK Surthkal, India. Dr Deka also served as visiting faculty during 2012 January semester at ASIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, Bangkok. He has published more than 20 research articles in various international journals and conferences. His field of research is related with applications of ANN, Fuzzy logic, Genetic Algorithm, Support Vector Machine etc. in Hydrological Modeling. Dr Deka has successfully supervised 3 PhD Scholars already and currently 7 Scholars are pursuing research under his guidance. He also authored 4 books on hydrological modeling.
