Suchitra dıd her Doctorate, Masters in Technology and also Maters in Science from Indian ınstitute of Technology Delhi. She is actively invoved in multiple research areas including Water remediation, coating on biomedical devices, High temperature superconductors, spintronics, magnetic properties of nanocrystalline ZnS:Mn, and Phase transition study in dysprosium
