Dr. Maqsood Ahmed
Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology
About
Dr. Ahmed’s research group is pursuing research in the field of heterogeneous catalysis, heterogenization of homogeneous catalysis, sustainable production of pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and bioactive compounds from biomass, lignin valorization, CO2 fixation to organic molecules, H2 production and storage through organic carriers, etc.
Originally from J&K, Dr. Ahmed completed his undergraduate studies in science from the University of Jammu. Further, he moved to JMI, New Delhi, for postgraduate studies in Science (Chemistry) and then joined the University of Delhi and conducted his Ph.D. research in the field of catalysis with Prof. A. Sakthivel. He obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Delhi. In 2019, he joined as a Scientist at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, and started his independent research career. Further, he moved to CSIR-IIIM Jammu and is working as a Senior Scientist in the QMI division of CSIR-IIIM Jammu.
