About
Dr. Afreen Usmani is an Associate Professor and Vice Principal at MESCO Institute of Pharmacy, Amroha. Previously, she held the position of Principal at Umapati Mahadev College of Pharmacy. She earned her PhD in Pharmacology from Integral University, Lucknow, with a specialization in nanomedicine and targeted drug delivery. She has authored and co-authored over 32 research and review articles published in indexed journals, covering diverse areas such as pharmacology, toxicology, nanotechnology, drug development, and clinical research. Additionally, she has contributed several book chapters published by Springer, Taylor & Francis, Bentham Science, and IntechOpen. Afreen also holds multiple patents for her innovative research in pharmaceutical sciences. Beyond research, she has authored over 12 books that serve as essential academic resources for Diploma in Pharmacy and Pharm.D students. Some of her widely recognized works focus on Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutics, Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy, and Pharmacotherapeutics. Her publications are widely used by students and professionals in pharmaceutical education. She is an editorial board member of several prestigious journals and an active reviewer for recognized scientific publications. She is also a lifetime member of the Society for Progressive Letters (SPL) and actively participates in national and international conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs. Her areas of expertise include nanotechnology in drug delivery, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical research methodologies. With her strong academic and research background, she continues to make significant contributions to pharmaceutical sciences, inspiring the next generation of researchers and academicians.
