About
Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh is an Associate Professor in the College of Science, Jai Narain College of Technology (JNCT) Professional University, Bhopal. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, where his doctoral research focused on the pharmacognostical, phytochemical, and bioactivity studies of Premna integrifolia. He also holds an M.Sc. in Biotechnology and a B.Sc. in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry.
Dr. Singh has extensive teaching and research experience in biotechnology, molecular biology, plant biotechnology, clinical microbiology, phytochemistry, herbal and nanomedicine, and wound-healing research. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at IIT BHU and as a Senior Fellow at the Indian Institute of Vegetable Research.
His research has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, edited books with Elsevier and CRC Press, and patents related to nanotechnology and nutraceutical applications. His work particularly emphasizes plant-based bioactive compounds, green synthesis of nanoparticles, antimicrobial resistance, and novel wound-healing materials. He has also received research support from the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST) and has qualified the CSIR-UGC NET/JRF in Life Sciences.
