About
Shivani Vij was born in Ludhiana in 1985. She received her B.Sc. degree in Computer
Science and M.Sc. degree in Physics from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in 2005 and 2007 respectively. She secured 5th position in a university in B.Sc. and 1st position (Gold Medal) in M.Sc. (Physics). She qualified UGC-NET conducted by CSIR
in December 2006. She got her Ph.D. degree from IKGPTU Kapurthala in 2018.
She has been working as an Assistant Professor of Physics in the Department of Applied Sciences, DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jalandhar since January 2008.
Her current research interests include the nonlinear interaction of laser with Plasma, cluster, and Nanostructures. She published research papers on self-focusing, harmonic generation, and terahertz generation in Plasma, cluster, and Nanostructures. She is a current member of the Plasma Science Society of India.
