About

Prof. K. Palanikumar was born on 10th May 1968 in India. He completed his Associate Membership Examination in Mechanical Engineering in 1994 from Institution of Engineers (India), Calcutta, and P.G. Degree in Production Engineering in the year 1996 from Annamalai University. He secured First rank among the candidates who appeared for the M.E. degree Examination. He completed his Ph.D in 2004 from Anna University, Chennai, India. He has been engaged in Teaching and at present working as Professor and Principal at Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. He has presented numerous research papers in International and National conferences. He has published more than 100 papers in SCI Journals and his Google Scholar h-index is 46 having more than 7500 citations.. He has received best researcher Award from Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties. He has won best R & D paper award from Indian Society for Non-destructive Testing and Evaluation. He is a Fellow member of Institution of Engineers (India) and Indian Institute of Production Engineers (IIPE). He is also the life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Indian Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ISNDT). He is also the member of American Society for Mechanical Engineers.
Machining Technology of composite materials, Processing and properties of natural fiber composites is the primary work.
