About
Dr.R.Vidyalakshmi is Professor and Head of Department of Food Safety and Quality Testing. She received her M.Sc (Ag) in Agricultural Microbiology from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore and Ph.D in Biotechnology from SASTRA, Thanjavur. She has joined this institute as Scientist in 2004. She is an active member in Centre of Excellence on Grain Sciences contributing in grain research and its quality analysis. She is a Life Member of Association of Microbiologists of India. She is an expertise in microbial safety and quality testing of foods. She has published numerous research papers in peer reviewed National and International Journals. She is a reviewer for reputed journals in food microbiology and food processing. Her key areas of work include probiotics, microbial secondary metabolites and food fermentation.
