About
Dr. U. C. Srivastava is a physicist and academician specializing in Solid State Physics and Materials Science. His research interests include lattice dynamics, phonon dispersion, elastic and ultrasonic properties, vibrational spectra, and thermal properties of advanced materials. His research encompasses semiconductors, chalcogenides, metal halides, perovskite materials, and two-dimensional MXene-based materials.
His work particularly focuses on theoretical and computational studies of materials using lattice dynamical approaches, including the Van der Waals Three-Body Force Shell Model (VTBFS). He is also interested in the development of improved theoretical and computational models for predicting the structural, elastic, vibrational, and ultrasonic properties of novel materials.
Dr. Srivastava is actively engaged in teaching, research, student mentoring, and academic activities in Physics. His research aims to understand the fundamental properties of advanced materials and their potential applications in emerging technologies.
