About
Dr. Gourhari Ghosh currently works as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, India. His research work is primarily focused on Ultra-precision finishing, Laser-based additive manufacturing, Thermal spray coating, Micro-texturing, and Tribology. He worked as a National Post-Doctoral Fellow (NPDF) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and his post-doctoral research work was focused on the Laser directed energy deposition (LDED) of metal matrix composite coatings and biocompatible composite coating. He completed his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and his Ph.D. work was focused on the Ultra-precision finishing of thermally sprayed WC-Co coating. So far, he has published 13 research papers in reputed international journals and 8 international conference papers, and 3 book chapters in international publishers. He has been awarded the prestigious Seal of Excellence award from European Commission, European Union (EU), and the prestigious DST INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship award from the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
