Dr. Imtiaz Hussain Raja (PhD. M.Phil., DVM) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Nutrition and Additional Director @ (ILNFR), Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur, Pakistan. He earned his Ph.D. from Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University under the Chinese Government Scholarship @ P.R. CHINA, following his M.Phil. and DVM from Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam. He has authored 49+ ISI-indexed publications (HEC- W & X category) with a cumulative Impact Factor above 80+, 720+ citations (h-i-index 17-20), and received the Outstanding Highest Impact Factor Award (2024 & 2025) at CUVAS.edu.pk. He is an HEC-approved Postgraduate (M.Phil./Ph.D.) supervisor and accomplished researcher in Ruminant and Poultry Nutrition with 15+ years of research and 8+ years of academic experience. Bottom of Form. Additionally, his research focuses on ruminant and poultry nutrition, which supports innovation and evidence-based livestock development in Pakistan. His research explores the roles of proteins and essential amino acids in animals/ruminants and poultry. He works on nutrigenomics, nanoparticles, mechanisms of Phytogenic Compounds as replacements for AGP and Antibiotic growth promoters, and pathogen interactions within and with the gastrointestinal tract to ultimately improve nutrient absorption and retention in animals and poultry.
Dr. Raja has served in key leadership roles, including Head of Department, Assistant Director of Advanced Study, Manager ORIC, and Additional Director at the Institute for Livestock Nutrition and Forage Research, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Dr. Raja actively contributes to postgraduate supervision, curriculum development, research commercialization, and institutional capacity building, significantly enhancing research visibility and academic excellence at CUVAS.
