Nobhojit Roy has been the Professor & Chief of Surgical Services in Mumbai and has cross-trained in Public health with a MPH, PhD.
Currently, Roy is the Co-Director of the WHO Collaboration Centre for Emergency, Critical & Operative Care within the Program for Global Surgery & Traumaat The George Institute of Global Health, India and is Adj Professor (Research), School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
Prior, he was Technical Officer for Surgery at WHO HQ, Geneva; SEAR Health Hub lead at Oxford Policy Management, the National Advisor; Planning and Evidence, Ministry of Health India; Director, State Health Systems Strengthening at CARE-India, Bihar.
He has been the Lancet commissioner for Global Surgery and for NCDs and Injuries in the poorest billion
