Prof. S. K. Baral is an acclaimed global academician, closely associated with several national and foreign universities for multiple academic and research activities. Prof. Baral has been applauded as a pragmatic visionary who works to comprehend the social and economic factors that sustain poverty cycles globally to assist in developing different successful social programmes. Through creative field experiments, rigorous empirical analysis, and international collaborations, he has developed a novel approach to deliver by elucidating the connections and contributory ties between policy, poverty, behaviour, and socio-economic status. He has contributed 193 research papers in various reputed national and international journals (out of which 68 papers are in Scopus, WoS, ABDC, and UGC Care Listed Journals) and contributed 37 book chapters (of which 24 are in Scopus), published by reputed international publication houses like; Emerald, Elsevier, Springer, IEEE, IGI Global, CRC Press –Taylor & Francis, Sage, DeGruyter, Nova, Bentham, Bloomsbury, IEOM, Atlantis, etc. He has been conferred with 58 National and International Awards to his credit. He has authored 37 books, 03 best-selling books on Amazon, and edited 26 books (of which 13 are in Scopus). He has earned 16 Indian Copyrights and 23 Patents. He is also a NAAC Assessor (Peer-team Member) at the Ministry of Higher Education, Govt. of India. He has contributed significantly to a National Level Policy Paper to the Government of India on the Higher Education Scenario of Chhattisgarh State of India. He is the Chief Editor of ‘Splint International Journal of Professionals’, a Quarterly Published International Journal, ISSN 2349 – 6045 (P) 2583-3661 (O), abstracted and indexed @ Indian Citation Index, Google Scholar, EBSCO Discovery, CNKI Scholar, ProQuest, J-Gate, International Scientific Indexing, Cosmos Impact Factor, Information Matrix for the Analysis of Journals [MIAR], Scholar Steer Scholarly Information, Scientific Journal Impact Factor- SJIF 6.114 since 2013 (under One Nation One Subscription). Prof. Baral has completed QIP on Professional Ethics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-K), India. He is an executive alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-I), India. Prof. Baral has 29 years of rich academic experience, holding several important positions at various levels.
