About

An experienced researcher with a demonstrated history of working in research laboratories, higher education and industry. Currently, I am working as a Scientist at CSIR National Chemical Laboratory, NCL Pune in India. I have 6 years of post-doctoral research experience from LIKAT Germany, The Noyori Laboratory Japan and KAUST Catalysis Center Saudi Arabia. I am Skilled in Research and Development (R&D) with main focus in Catalysis, C1 chemistry, Green Chemistry, Laboratory Safety, Organic Synthesis, and Medicinal Chemistry. Received several awards and postdoctoral fellowships notably Best Ph.D Thesis Award, DST SERB Young Scientist Start-up Grant, DST INSPIRE Faculty Award. I am also a "DAAD Germany Research Ambassador" for India (2018-2022, 2025-2028). I have started NGO "Sawant innovative foundation" which works for the scientific education of rural students and to promote them for internship in India and Abroad.
