About
About Research:
Research areas: TB Therapeutics, TB Diagnostics and Child Malnutrition (0-6 years). In TB Therapeutics Project (India Health Fund, TATA TRUST), team members have been working on developing inhalation therapy (formulations) against MDR TB. In TB Diagnostics project (IMPRINT INDIA: MHRD & MHFW), we are working on low cost, affordable TB diagnostics in co-ordination with ICMR labs, Pharma/ Biotech companies, TB hospitals, RNTCP Lab, European and US organizations. In other areas, I have been working on geospatial mapping of child malnutrition for generation of real time data (WHO Anthropometric Parameters: Wasting, Stunting and Underweight, BMI) and relevamt interventions for child malnutrition. I worked on microparticulate vaccine delivery for Hepatitis B (M.Pharma: Pharmaceutical Biotechnology) and Filariais (Ph.D. in pharmaceutical Sciences). Recently, I have started my own start up for promoting translational research in Pharma, Biotech and Neutraceutical sector.
Research Interests:
TB Diagnostics (urine, sputum and serum), TB Therapeutics (Drug Resistance) & Malnutrition (real time data and interventions), Formulations for MRSA & VRE infections, Mosquito repellent formulations, Vaccine research (adjuvants).
I have been working on Rapid Covid-19 antigen and antibody tests through my startup (www.patanjalipharma.com) and soon they will be commercialized after internal validation.
