Avtar Singh
Central University of Rajasthan, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology
About
Avtar Singh obtained his M.Sc. (Chemistry) and Ph.D. (Organic Chemistry) degree from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal, Punjab, India. His Ph.D. research was focused on the design, synthesis of chiral ionic liquids for asymmetric organocatalytic and chiral recognition applications. Currently, he is working as a Research Associate (RA) in a CSIR-funded project entitled "Design of Novel Bi-functional Amine-Urea/Thiourea Catalysts for Asymmetric C-C Bond Forming Applications" at Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, India. His research interest includes the design, synthesis, and applications of chiral ionic liquids. He is also interested in asymmetric organocatalysis and allied areas.
