Dr. MD. MOTTAHIR ALAM is affiliated with the department of Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Patna, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, an M.Tech. in Nanotechnology, and a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering. His research has resulted in 3 US patents, 80+ publications in high-impact SCI/SCIE journals (including Ceramics International, Measurement, Mathematics, Case Studies in Thermal Engineering, and Desalination), and 5 book chapters.
Throughout his career, he has actively participated in over 25 government-funded projects, either as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator, securing and delivering projects with a total value of approximately $429,000 USD. This experience has honed his skills in collaborative research, project management, and budget allocation.
His areas of research includes Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), AI Algorithms, Software Security, Software Reusability, Sensor Networks & Internet of Things (IoT), Antenna and Wireless Communications, Optical Communication, Renewable Energy, Renewable and Sustainable energy, Water Resource Management, Healthcare Informatics, Nanomaterials, and Nano-biosensors.
He has instructed a wide range of undergraduate courses in diverse areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering. This includes fundamental subjects like Electronics I and II to advanced topics such as Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Digital System Design, Semiconductor Design, Embedded Systems, Digital Control Systems and Antenna and Wireless Communications. Additionally, he has overseen lab courses, enhancing students' practical skills in various disciplines.
