About
Dr. Wise joined the Department of Epidemiology in 2004 after completing her doctorate in epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health. Her current research involves the study of risk factors for uterine pathologies (fibroids, endometriosis, and endometrial cancer), delayed conception, and adverse pregnancy outcomes. She was awarded the ASPH/Pfizer Young Investigator's Research Award in 2012 for her work on uterine fibroids in the Black Women's Health Study. She is Principal Investigator of PREgnancy STudy Online (PRESTO; website: http://presto.bu.edu), an NIH-funded Internet-based study of fertility in Massachusetts. Her other NIH-funded studies examine environmental risk factors for uterine fibroids and other reproductive conditions in Black women.
