About

Dr. Shabana Anjum is a highly accomplished scientist and researcher specializing in mammalian reproductive physiology, nanotechnology, and targeted drug delivery systems. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Mohamed Bin Rashid University (MBRU) in Dubai, UAE. She actively leads and contributes to innovative research projects focusing on male reproductive physiology, genomics, and proteomics, with a particular emphasis on ultrasound-enhanced targeted therapies for cancer and metabolic disorders.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Anjum held positions at the American University of Sharjah, UAE, where she conducted cutting-edge research on nanoparticles and ultrasound-mediated drug delivery systems, including immunotherapy and genetic medicine applications. She also served as a Visiting Research Scholar, focusing on enhancing targeted liposomal delivery of therapeutics such as Herceptin. Her extensive research career includes over six years of experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Senior Research Associate in India and the UAE, where she investigated mechanisms underlying neuropeptide function, insulin secretion, pancreatic β-cell function, and the role of bioactive compounds in disease mitigation.
Dr. Anjum holds a Ph.D. in mammalian reproductive physiology from Banaras Hindu University and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and conference presentations in fields ranging from neuroendocrinology to reproductive biology. Her work has been recognized with several awards, including Women in Research-QUWA (2024), the Asia Research Award for Outstanding Research in Molecular Biology (2023), and the International Best Research Award in Neuroendocrinology (2022).
With a strong academic foundation and a passion for translational research, Dr. Anjum continues to contribute significantly to the scientific community, advancing our understanding of reproductive health, cancer therapy, and nanomedicine.
