About
I have completed my PhD from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, working with the GRAPES-3 experiment.
Cosmic rays experience deflection on their journey to Earth, resulting in an almost isotropic flux upon arrival. However, by analyzing data collected by GRAPES-3 from January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2016, we have detected an anisotropy of less than 1%. Various models have been proposed to explain this observed anisotropy, though it remains not fully understood. This discovery provides insights into the propagation mechanisms and potential distribution of cosmic ray sources, which are long-standing mysteries in the field.
Additionally, I have played a role in the GRAPES-3 experiment by developing quality cuts to remove mis-reconstructed showers, monitoring data, performing reconstruction tasks, and ensuring data validity. I have also been involved in generating simulation data using CORSIKA, which has proven to be useful for composition studies.
Through my analysis work, I have obtained strong coding skills in software such as Python, C++, ROOT, HEALPix, TMVA, and ROOUNFOLD.
Looking ahead, I aim to uncover more mysteries in the field of astroparticle physics and expand into other areas.
Outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy singing, listening to music, and watching movies.
