About
Dr. Showkat Ahmad Bhat is currently working as Associate professor, Department of Biochemistry, Govt. Medical College Handwara. Earlier he has worked as Assistant Professor, Al-Falah School of Medical Science & Research Centre Haryana, Assistant Professor GMC Doda, Demonstrator GMC Srinagar & Senior Research Fellow under ICMR awarded fellowship. Dr. Bhat has also worked as Academic Registrar, Govt. Medical College Doda as additional Charge for three years. He has been actively involved in organizing national and International Conferences, Workshops and training programs. He has Post Doctoral research experience from ICMR New Delhi, DST New Delhi. He has been a recipient of many prestigious fellowships, travel grants and awards including those from ICMR (SRF), CSIR (RA-3), JRF (JK-DST Project), SERB. He has published eighty research/review papers in high repute journals having more than 1500 citations and also has large number of conference proceedings and thirty book chapters and five books to his name. Currently Dr. Bhat is actively involved in teaching, research and patient care. His interest of Research is Clinical Biochemistry and Cancer biology
