About

I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Galway, Ireland, funded by the SFI Centre for Research Training in Artificial Intelligence (CRT-AI) and the College of Science and Engineering, starting from October 2023. I worked as a Research Assistant at the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics, Data Science Institute, University of Galway, Ireland, from February 2023 to September 2023. I completed my master's degree (MSc in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Intelligence) at the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management - Kerala (IIITM-K), India, from 2020 to 2022. I also worked as a research intern focusing on Dravidian languages in the domain of Natural Language Processing (NLP).

My research areas include machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, under-resourced languages, sentiment analysis, offensive language, and hate speech detection, particularly targeting the LGBTQIA+ community. I have published papers in multiple international conferences (LDK, FIRE, RANLP, etc.) and in highly reputed journals (LRE, CSL, NLP). Additionally, I have organized numerous shared tasks related to social media text analysis for the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL 2022) and the European Association for Computational Linguistics (EACL 2021 & 2024).

I have an h-index of 14, an i10-index of 17, and have accumulated 688 citations on Google Scholar from 2021 to the present (March 2024).
