Dr. P. Selvaraj (1975) did Ph.D under the guidance of Dr. K. Sahayaraj in a DST, Govt. of India funded project (2001-2004). He served as Scientist in Sun Agro Biotech Research Centre, Chennai (2004 to 2008). He had research collaboration with international research institutions like USDA (Australia - Dr. John A. Goolsby and Dr. Edwin Aberu, Australian Biological Control Laboratory (ABCL); USA - Dr. Robert W. Pemberton, Invasive Plant Research Laboratory, University of Florida; Dr. Charlie Picket and Dr. Alan Kirk, European Biological Control Laboratory, France]; ICIPE, Kenya (Dr. S. Sithanantham and Dr. Lux, African Fruitfly Initiative) and HORDI, Sri Lanka; and World Noni Research Foundation (WNRF), Chennai. He also conducted farmers Training and demonstration for Bio-input, Funded by TNSCST, Govt. of Tamil Nadu in 2008-2009. Since 16 th June, 2008 he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai. In his career he visited ICIPE, Nairobi, Kenya and HORDI
Sri Lanka (May - June, 2005). Published 25 research papers in reputed Journals, 15 papers in proceedings; 7 books chapters; 4 books and 4 training manuals. He has been actively involved in organizing seminars/conferences and training programmes; reviewing articles for reputed journals; evaluating M.Phil thesis for other Autonomous institutions and universities and supervising research scholars for their M.Phil. and Ph.D. programme.
