About
Professor Trudie Lang is the founder and director of The Global Health Network, a global platform dedicated to advancing equity in access to research methods, tools, and resources so that high quality health research can be conducted in every setting. Her work focuses on enabling locally led, community embedded research systems that allow frontline teams to generate and use evidence to improve health outcomes.
She leads large scale international programmes that strengthen research capability across low- and middle-income countries, working with partners including the World Health Organization, EDCTP, and CEPI. Through TGHN, which serves over a million health workers and researchers worldwide, she has established a proven model for delivering embedded on-going mechanisms for training, tools, and collaborative networks that support equitable participation and local leadership in health research.
