About

Prof. Dr. Harish Kumar G R is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. He earned his B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Visveswaraiah Technological University, India (2002), M.Tech. in Computer Cognition Technology (AI & ML) from Mysore University, India (2004), and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India (2010). He also completed his Post-Doctoral research at INRIA Bordeaux Sud-Ouest, France.

He is the recipient of the prestigious Young Scientist Award (2010) and was selected for the highly competitive Samsung Global Internship Program (2008) at Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., South Korea, where he was among only two students selected from India and one of 15 participants selected globally.

He has held prominent academic and industry positions, including serving as Chief Engineer at Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. and as a University Professor in the Department of Computer Science, College of Computer Science, King Khalid University, Abha, Saudi Arabia.

His research expertise spans a wide range of advanced and interdisciplinary areas, including Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Security and Privacy, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Steganography, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Insider Threat Detection, Fuzzy Logic, Deep Learning, and Soft Computing.
