About

Dr. Pavuluri’s research spans in the fields of electrocatalysis, materials chemistry, and fuel cells. His work encompasses on applying fundamental knowledge to design unique porous materials and its contribution to address problems in energy and environment. He has developed new metallosilicates with tunable acidic sites and applied these active sites in electrocatalysis. He has made notable contributions to the understanding of metal involved in electron transfer, structure and physical properties correlation in biomass valorization.

Dr. Pavuluri earned his Ph.D. degree from CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology and became Professor of Chemical Sciences at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR). The Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) offered him postdoctoral fellowship to pursue research at Yokohama National University. Dr. Pavuluri joined as postdoctoral researcher in National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan and rose to the prestigious position of Independent Researcher in International Centre for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (ICYS-MANA). He has been recognized with many honors and awards for his research accomplishments. He has been invited to serve as an editorial board member of Springer-Journal of Porous Materials. He was a visiting scientist to department of materials science and engineering, MIT, USA. He has received Young Scientist Award from IUMRS-ICA, and NIMS-MANA Fusion Research Prize, the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state science academy awards, among many others.

Dr. Pavuluri’s group utilizes a wide range of spectroscopic, theoretical, and chemical techniques to understand structure and activity relations of catalytically active sites to address fundamental questions of relevance to energy and environment.
